Welcome to Sensational Silverware & Creations.  My name is Loretta and this is one of the things I love.  I love making creations out of silverware that would normally be discarded because of it's condition.

This all started because of one little Christmas present.  My mother was making a wind chime out of silverplate silverware.  I thought, how cool, and how would I do that differently.  Next, a friend ask me to make some napkin rings.  One weekend while my husband was away racing, I decided to go shopping for silverware.  I called him to let him know I had hit the mother load(one huge box) and it was only $150.  Good thing he was not with me.  I splurged on the box and took home a ton of pieces from that one store.  I was so proud of my find I went to show my friend who I had made the napkin rings for.  Quite surprised by my huge purchase, she loaned me a book and made me promise to research every piece before I cut it up.  What a good thing I followed her advice.  I was able to sell just one piece from that box which more than paid for my entire purchase.  I sold that one piece on Ebay and still had more than enough flatware to make tons of creations.  I haven't found any more pieces quite like that but, wow, what a way to start.

My family plays a big part in this whole thing too.  My children endure multiple shopping trips each month so mommy can find more old silverware to make my creations.  My husband helps too.  He is my number one ring maker(he can swing the mallet harder than I can).  Besides, who would turn down that kind of help.  Here we are some nine years later.  We make a little bit of everything and more ideas come regularly.

If you don't see what you had in mind, let me know and we'll try and make that special piece just for you.  I have even made special orders using customers family pieces.  That makes the item even more special to the customer and keeps the life of the silverware going.

We make napkin rings, crosses, keyrings, bracelets, pendants, earrings, rings, money clips, vases, posie pins, wind chimes, yard stakes, garden markers, book-ends, Christmas ornaments, and more.  I can even keep my eyes open for the silverware pattern you collect.  I have a few customers who I just send vintage flatware to.  They collect certain patterns and are always appreciative of the extra eyes looking out for their favorite patterns.

There is quite a bit of decoration, beauty and style in some of the older patterns and we really enjoy finding those.
